Nikon D3300 Firmware Update– The Nikon D3300 is a good camera, in more ways than one: strong build quality and strong picture quality. While autofocus operation is a bit below average, along with the restricted external controllers and smaller dimensions might be a turn off to a few, the D3300 excels in most areas. Nikon D3300 Performance
Even the Nikon D3300’s complete autofocus shutter lag when shooting the identical target multiple times was a bit slower than typical for a user DSLR, but not awful for entry-level version. The D3300 took about 0.26 moment for complete AF working with the center focus point. Letting the flash increased shutter lag just marginally to 0.29 minute, representing the additional delay brought on by the metering pre-flash. The Nikon D3300 simply offers contrast-detect AF at Live View, which required approximately 1.8 seconds to concentrate in our evaluations, which is a little slow for Live View. (How quickly the lens can correct focus produces a significant difference.) Prefocused camera lag was slower but still realistic in Live View manner, at roughly 0.47 second.
Check the camera firmware version
- Turn on the camera.
- Press the camera MENU button and select the Firmware version in the settings menu to display the camera firmware version.
- Check the camera firmware version.
- Turn off the camera.
How to setup Camera Firmware update
- Create a folder on the computer’s hard disk and name it as desired.
- Download F-D3300-V102W.exe and enter it into the folder created in the first step.
- Run F-D3300-V102W.exe to extract the following file to a folder called “D3300Update“:
• D3300_0102.bin (camera firmware)
- use the card slot or card reader to copy “D3300_0102.bin” to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
- Add a memory card into the slot on the camera and then turn on the cam.
- Select the Firmware version in the settings menu and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the firmware update.
- After the firmware update process is complete, turn off the camera and remove the memory card.
- Confirm that the firmware update process to the new version has been updated.
