I know there are dynamic models in Sketchup, but is there a plugin that makes your models truly parametric, in real time. The feature I am referencing can be found in a software like Fusion 360, which allows the user to define parameters, and then change individually them in a spreadsheet (i.e. Furniture piece height, width, etc.).   • You should install SketchUcationTools to manage your extensions.

Download and install manually

  • Download Google Drive , Extension Warehouse or SketchUcation Store.
    1. Click menu Window-Extensions Manager.
    2. Click Install Extension.
    3. Select .rbz file.
  • Click Here (Or Inside Sketchup, menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manager license-Manager…).

About License

  • SketchUp Compatibility

  • Active the extension :
    1. Inside Sketchup, Click menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manage license – Activate License.
    2. Input your email address and your authorization code.
  • Transfer your license to the new computer :
    1. Inside Sketchup on your old computer, Click menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manage license – Remove License.
    2. Install on a new computer then active again.
  • License Type
    • Permanent : Use permanent. Support technical 3 years.
    • Subscription : 1 year (Free active new extension).
    • 1 license for 1 computer.
    • Update free for 1.x.
  • If you can’t get a license. Following this steps :
    • Check correctly your email address and the extension name.
    • Try Input your email address and your authorization code again. Inside Sketchup, Click menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manage license – Activate License.
    • Or Try Remove License then Active again
      1. Inside Sketchup, Click menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manage license – Remove License.
      2. Inside Sketchup, Click menu Extensions – Suforyou – Manage license – Activate License.
      3. Input your email address and your authorization code.

Object Animation in SketchUp:

Create object animations of your SketchUp model to illustrate the motion of groups and components. The motion can be as simple as a single object—like a crane— rotating in an arc. Or, complexity can be added to create more sophisticated, layered motion —a crane rotating and rising vertically at the same time, for example. SU Animate can also create an assembly of motions, such as a step by step assembly of furniture, or incremental progress on a construction site.

Camera animation to create walk-throughs:

Set keyframes for object and camera animations:

Set your keyframes and let SU Animate do the heavy lifting. SU Animate can interpolate motion between keyframes to produce smooth, fluid animation with very little work. For example—to animate an opening door, simply set a keyframe with the door closed, and a second keyframe with the door open and SU Animate will calculate the position of the door for all frames in between. Animating in SketchUp has never been so easy.
